2nd Tryout/Practice is Sunday, March 19th from 3pm-5pm at Coindre Hall in Huntington. Directions are under the Locations Tab above.
Just a reminder that starting tonight the 15N, 15R and both 16 National teams will be practicing at The Sports Arena from 6pm-8pm during the High School Spring League Season. This practice replaces the Friday night practice at St. Joseph in Brentwood.
In anticipation of icy roads tonight, we are cancelling all practices.
Information for the 14 & Under Travel Team Tryout & Registration has been posted under the "Boys" link at the top of the page. The next tryout/practice which was originally scheduled for Wednesday, March 15th at Nesaquake Middle School, is being moved to Thursday, March 16th at The Sports Arena in St. James from 6pm-8pm, due to the weather.
Work schedules for all teams will be posted as soon as we confirm the final number of teams in the tournament.
EAGLE SCOUT PROJECT
David DeRosa of our 17 National Gold team is working towards earning his Eagle Scout rank in the Boys Scout and is asking for our help. His project is to send 200 care packages to our active military. He will have a table set up at the Middle School Tournament this Sunday at Smithtown East, and is looking for donations of the following items:
Peanut Butter Sandwich Crackers, Chap Sticks, DVD Movies, Beef Jerky (No Pork), Sunflower Seeds, Ear buds, Gummy Candy, Vitamins, Playing Cards, Lemonade Drink Mix, Air Freshners, Men's Deodorant, Books, Protein Bars, AT&T Global Pre-Paid Calling Cards and Peanut Butter.
All donations will be greatly appreciated.
Congratulations to all the LIVBC teams who performed so well at the Boston Mizuno tournament this past weekend. The 15 National team walked off with the Gold, 16 National Blue, Silver and 16 National Gold won the Bronze.
The 17 National Blue earned the Silver in a tough 3 game final against Lakeside.

Just a heads up for this weekend.
The schedule for this tournament is on SportWrench. Make sure you click on the schedules that say Boys...the rest of the divisions are all girls brackets.
Driving up on Saturday morning can be a nightmare. As a veteran of driving the 95 North Corridor (my son lives in Providence, RI) I found That if you leave after 8am in the morning, the traffic around Stamford Connecticut is AWFUL. The very best way to go is to take the CrossSound ferry from Orient Point. A little more expensive, but well worth it. The ferry terminal in New London, CT is just about 2 hours from Boston, or a 1.5 hours from the hotel. www.crosssoundferry.com
Our hotel is about a 35 minute drive from the playing site and parking can be a nightmare in the city.
Below are links for parking garages where you can reserve a spot ahead of time.
We all play or work at 3.30pm on Saturday (with the exception of the 15 National team who works at 2:30pm) so you can reserve a spot ahead of time. Sunday’s schedule all depends upon where you fall…it can be as early as an 8am start or as late as noon.
The tournament has partnered with a parking garage, but their prices seem to be very high.
I found a different link which seems to be a little more reasonable.
You need to enter the date and times at the top of the page and will give you options based on distance from the Convention Center.
